Clinical Support Services
Clinical Support Services are a vital aspect of patient care at the Cancer Center. Patients receiving treatment and cancer survivors benefit from our evidence-based, comprehensive approach to care that optimizes quality of life and treatment effectiveness.
Oncology Nutrition, Clinic Research, Genetic Counseling and Patient Navigation all offer clinical services and skilled providers to help patients from treatment through survivorship. Whether participating in a clinical research trial, consulting with our certified oncology dietitian nutritionists about the best nutritional approach during treatment, or participating in genetic testing, our patients receive personalized care that is directed to each unique person, diagnosis and situation.
Oncology Social Work Services staff helps qualified patients to access assistance programs through private foundations, free pharmaceuticals, co-pay assistance programs, cancer-specific funds and other programs. Throughout the nearly 30 years that these services have been in existence at the Cancer Center, they have always been available to any cancer patient in our community — regardless of where they receive their care.
Many of these programs are offered free of charge.
