Ridley-Tree Cancer Center is committed to being a regional resource to which both the public and the medical community can look for leadership regarding the diagnosis, management and prevention of cancer. The Oncology team at Ridley-Tree Cancer Center collaborates with colleagues throughout Sansum Clinic and the community in the fields of Dermatology, Endocrinology, Family Medicine, Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics/ Gynecology, Neurology, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Urology, and others, to facilitate seamless care for patients with cancer, as needs arise.
Cottage Health
Ridley-Tree Cancer Center works in partnership with Cottage Health’s Oncology team to ensure the continuity of care for our patients while they receive inpatient care. The collaboration between Ridley-Tree Cancer Center and Cottage Health has led Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital to be among the 25% of cancer programs in the United States that are accredited by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons.
Santa Barbara Breast Care Alliance
We are a proud member of the Santa Barbara Breast Care Alliance, our community’s “breast care center without walls.” The Alliance is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), recognizing our commitment to providing the highest quality evaluation and management of our patients with breast disease. This recognition is only granted to centers that have undergone a rigorous application process and onsite survey to ensure high-level standards in leadership, clinical management, research, community outreach, professional education and quality improvement.
The Alliance brings together surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, plastic surgeons and clinical support staff from the Ridley-Tree Cancer Center, Sansum Clinic, Cottage Health and other local private practices. This team of experts demonstrate that our center and partnership meets the needs of breast patients by providing multi-disciplinary, high-quality, patient-centered care. A weekly Breast Tumor Board evaluates patients with complex breast treatment concerns in order to provide each patient with a thorough, coordinated approach to optimal treatment.
