Radiology plays a critical role in detecting,
treating and monitoring breast cancer. Our
Breast Imaging Program is an integral part of RidleyTree’s comprehensive, team-based approach to
caring for women and men with breast cancer and
benign breast disease. Our breast radiologists and
technologists have extensive training with the latest
image technology and image-guided procedures.
Their expertise alongside this world-class technology
helped Sansum Clinic earn the American College
of Radiology Breast Imaging Center of Excellence
designation, signifying the highest level of imaging
quality, safety and care. This accreditation recognizes
services ranging from mammograms to breast MRIs
and ultrasounds, to image-guided procedures such as
biopsies and localizations.
Winifred Leung, MD is Sansum Clinic’s
fellowship-trained breast radiologist. Dr. Leung
specializes in all aspects of breast imaging
including MRI and image-guided biopsy. She is
the current chair of the Santa Barbara Breast
Care Alliance, an NAPBC-accredited “breast
center without walls” of which Sansum Clinic
and Ridley-Tree are founding participants.
