About
- Dr. Mary-Louise Scully is the Director of the Travel & Tropical Medicine Center of Sansum Clinic in Santa Barbara, CA. She received her BA from Smith College and her MD from Rush Medical College in Illinois. Dr. Scully completed her Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Disease fellowship at Yale University and Yale New Haven Hospital. For 11 years she was a member of the Clinical Faculty at Yale New Haven Hospital and also worked at the Yale International Health and Travel Clinic before moving to Santa Barbara in 2002. In addition to her clinical practice of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine at Sansum Clinic, Dr. Scully is currently the Chair of the Professional Education committee of the International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM) and has completed a six year term as a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Infectious Disease subspecialty exam committee. She is also an Associate Editor for the Journal of Travel Medicine.

- Dr. Scully has served as expedition team physician for Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ocean Futures Society during their 2007 filming of "Return to the Amazon." She also appears in the 2009 Cousteau documentary "Call of the Killer Whale" and an episode of Animal Planet's "Monster's Inside Me" TV series (2013).
