Dr. Hassan attended medical school at the University of Miami where he went on week-long medical missions to remote areas of the Dominican Republic during spring breaks. He trained in Internal Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami where he received the Ambulatory resident award as well as the Hospital resident award. He was hired by the Miami VA in 2010 where he ran residency rotations and became an Associate Program Director for the residency program. He received the faculty teaching award in 2015. Dr. Hassan has worked for the Greater Los Angeles VA and for the St. Charles Healthcare System in Bend, OR. He joined the Sansum Clinic team in 2021.
