How are star ratings for providers determined?

Star ratings are based on responses to survey questions that focus on a patient's likelihood to recommend the provider's office to family and friends as well as the provider's care, including whether the provider listened carefully, spent enough time with you, explained things in an easy-to-understand way, and seemed to know important information about your medical history. Press Ganey averages and converts all survey responses into a single star rating, with five stars being the highest.

About

  • Dr. Dunn graduated with honors from the University of California, Berkeley with dual majors in History and Molecular and Cell Biology. She then spent three years researching abnormal wound-healing at UCSF before attending medical school at the University of Southern California. She then completed her residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital. The exceptional quality and wide breadth of training that she received at Yale prepared her for all areas of medical and surgical care of the ear, nose, and throat in both adults and children.
