The department of Ophthalmology provides treatment for vision disorders and eye diseases to patients ranging in age from premature infants to senior citizens.

The department's long tradition of partnership with Surgical Eye Expeditions (SEE) International is carried on by our current providers, who regularly donate their eye care services both locally and internationally through this humanitarian aid charity.
Multiple research projects are ongoing within the department, as well. Recent projects have involved topics such as laser eye surgery, cataract surgery, eye medications, and pediatric ophthalmology.
