Auxiliary
The Sansum Clinic Auxiliary was formed in 1985 by 26 women who recognized an opportunity to enhance Sansum Clinic’s position in our community through volunteerism and fundraising efforts. Three charter members — Allene Chamness, Manning Marquis, and Audrey Martinson — are still with us today. At the forefront of technology at the time, the Auxiliary was responsible for purchasing one of the first computer printers and raised funds used to help improve computer literacy for doctors. Over the years, members have given their time to help catalog the Clinic archives, aid with blood banks, and raise funds for vital purchases such as wheelchairs and audio/video equipment. Today, the Auxiliary relies on traditional fundraisers like book fairs, bake sales, emergency kit sales and monetary gifts to support the nursing and radiology scholarships they grant each year to local students. Please keep an eye out for the "red coat ladies and men" as they faithfully greet patients at our Sansum Clinic, 215 Pesetas Lane, Santa Barbara, CA 93110, (805) 681-7500 and Sansum Clinic, 317 West Pueblo St., Santa Barbara, CA 93105, (805) 681-7500 locations.
